dwarakanatha

Dwarakanatha is a book unlike any other. It was written by my Guru, Vanamali Mataji and i have no words to describe the blissful experience that it was to read the book. Every page is a treasure trove of wisdom, spirituality and a peak into the heart of the devotee.

Maa transports us back in time with her as she accompanies Sri Krishna in His lila.

Through the book, she shares her deepest most personal experiences - the time she spent with Sri Krishna - the omniscient, omnipresent being who can be reached through love alone. Together they travel through time and space, visiting different parts of Bharatvarsha as He fulfils the purpose of His avatara.

We witness a first-hand account of the romantic abduction of many princesses, His role in the Mahabharata and other happenings in Dwaraka. The book is filled with the little winks, knowing smiles and the loving relationship between the devotee and the magnificent lotus-eyed deity. It is said that on the path of bhakti, one first feels that “He is mine” which slowly becomes “I am His” until finally it ends in “I am He”. This book fans the flames of devotion till the readers eyes are wet, and heart is yearning for a glimpse of that infinite who decided who take on a human form for the sake of humanity.

As Sri Krishna tells the author: “A devotee may forget me, but I will never forget my devotee.”

If Maa’s first book on Lord Krishna - “Sri Krishna Lila” lays the seeds of devotion, then “Dwarakanatha” truly is the sweetest of fruits on the most beautiful tree.
